The red blink is gunner is infected with evil radiation aka bug radiation. He did a little sad look because he know he is one. He got the evil radiation from a bullet by zack. He say " Gunner your going be like me someday" Gunner say "hell no". And gunner now how to control it but he cure it on season 2
